“ I only quilt on days that end in ” Y”
Big welcome to Karrin , as she joins the group!
I’ve not been in the blogging spirit lately, days are so filled with summer work, getting work done ahead of time for when we want to go camping this fall…like splitting a pile of wood to season for winter, chalking the camper, fixing the fencing around the horse pasture and I have a compost barrel started as I’m going to make another raised bed as the one I have now,did so good thing year.
Now to get back on track with the quilting! I got half way !!💃💃 Here’s where I was last time.
I had just finished the left hand side of the quilt to the half way mark. Now I finished the right side of the row which finished the half way mark, I rolled it and am started back ,working the right side moving toward the left side.
I’m working where the thread and scissor’s are. At few details.. nothing new.
Here’s the list of others that are doing the hand quilt along
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
Kathy, Lori, Margaret, Kerry, Emma, Tracy, Deb, Connie, Susan, Nanette, Sassy , Edith, Sharon, and Karrin
This time of the year has so much work to do! I haven’t touched my new project at all these three weeks, just reintroduced it this morning with a now picture. I think things will calm down now…the roof is on, and the trips to the dump completed. Just edge trim to apply now over the next week or so.

Even with limited time to work on this quilt, you have made good progress. I love the leaves that are quilted into the black!

Thank you! I think the quilted leaves give character to the plain fabric!

An impressive group of quilters. Is there one website that will display all the quilts in one place?

I know the feeling, I have been weeding all afternoon, and then some general garden work, sat down tonight to blog and fell asleep 🙂 I did wake up later to finish off, but there always seems so much to do outside this time of year….we are late summer at the moment, so lots of things to pick and chop back etc. Quilt is looking wonderful, just not sure where you find the time to do it 🙂

Those leaves are a great design for the blue spaces, something that softens all the lines in the quilt. You’ve done a lot!

You’ll be back of that I’m sure,if the quilt wasn’t in a standing frame where I can pop in ,quilt for a little ,then go back to work, I’m sure I would be at a stand still too!
