I found this on google,…perfect I thought to go with the old fabrics in the double wedding ring quilt . This granny didn’t make this quilt with a certain family member in mind but I’m sure it will find its favorite person down the road.😀
I have finished the double wedding ring quilt. It is a great feeling to see it hanging on the back of the couch…finally ..after being forgot then to be found while looking for something else.😁
Now I must find another project that’s been floating around that needs finishing up,and also get back to the Fire Island Hosta quilt.
Have a great week!

Your finished quilt just took my breath away. It turned out fantastic…the back itself is a work of art ~ Sharon

The quilt is bEAUTIFUL! I love the sentiment of the grandma quilt…I finished hand quilting the baby quilt for Vivien Grace, due here December 7th, and that’s what we all hope for…a tiny memory. So glad you came through the hurricane okay…our son works for FEMA and has been in Corpus Christi, TX where they are still trying to sort out LAST years damage. He’ll be home for Sidney’s birthday and the new baby…hooray! The beauty of your quilting is how even and lovely the back is. The front of mine is nice but the back is a mess….(doubt Vivien will notice). I just was given a double wedding ring top (vintage) from a friend…I plan to quilt it and give it back to her…think I need advice on the scalloped binding…xxoo to you today…B

Thank you,Bonnie, your a dear! I’m sure Vivian wouldn’t mind the back ( by the way I like her name🙂) you only have to wait a little over a month now!👏😀. Oh do post the old quilt, would love to see it! The scallops aren’t that hard to do,just take a little more time.

It is so gorgeous Deb. I especially like the dark main color, it is so unique and sets off the scrappy ring just beautifully. Happy dancing with you! 🎉💐🏅

Thank you,Kathy! I must say your idea of forming this group has kept me motivated,as I can get so sidetracked.😳😀 using dark fabric came from a local lady who had me do one for her,and like you I loved how it made the rings pop.

Doing the quilting in a darker thread does show up nice on the back, I was a little unsure when I started ,thinking I might make it look a mess. Thank you !

What a great idea to look for things to finish! We all have so many unfinished projects in our homes. Just making a start must be very satisfying.

It’s been such fun, watching you and Sharon both work on wedding ring quilts of vintage fabrics! SO different and both so gorgeous. I do love that dark background on this and the way it sets off the scrappy fabrics. Congrats on finishing! Can’t wait to see what you choose to work on next . . .

I’ve enjoyed seeing the two quilts too! I’m thinking on working on one of my other vintage pieces can’t make up my mind yet which one …then how to quilt it.

Congratulations on your finish! It’s a very pleasing quilt, and that label would be great on it, too. I like the photo at the top of the other quilt you’ve worked on a lot this year.

Wow, the finished quilt is breathtaking. You are such a skilled quilter. I really liked the poem. The older a get, the more I appreciate the love that goes into quilts, needlework, etc.
