Sorry… folks I missed posting yesterday! We were camping in a no signal zone. It was a quick decision to go that I didn’t have time to schedule a post. It was a hot weekend of temps in the 98* to 100* so we went to find water.
I decided to do the log cabin quilt this time around. It will be a no marked quilt ,for I don’t want to have to wash this quilt in a machine. It just might be to fragile for that,or those reds bleed out when washed.
Here’s the start!
I’m not going to set any goals on this one ,what gets done in three weeks who knows.. if the hot weather continues in the 100’s in just might be a lot.
Until next time time check out the others lovely projects!

Hi Deb ~ I love that you decided not to set goals! Pressure off π Great log cabin, I am not remembering if I saw this before but if I did I know I must have loved it. Really like the soft muted colors in this. It really says ‘pioneer days’ to me, perfect for this pattern. Stay cool in those hot temps! Sharon

Pressure off!π …it is a quilt from the civil war era. It comes out of Pa. ,seller doesnβt know the maker.

It’s a lovely traditional quilt and I think not setting goals means you’ll enjoy it more,no pressure π

That is just so beautiful–and the history it has seen! I can’t believe what good condition it’s in.

I sure wished it could say a few things! But in a way it does for the maker was a fine seamstress, and the colors are coordinated great…. I do wonder though if she sat by candlelight sewing thinking of her boys at war or maybe a husband..
