Happy Father’s Day……It is hard to believe that it has been 13 years since my dad has passed away, and 3 months since Papa Bear has passed ! They both are truly missed.
Now time for the update. π
There are six blocks across the quilt with six rows from top to bottom giving a total of 36 blocks to do along with the border. I have finished four of the blocks ,working on number 5. Here I was last time…..
Here is where I am now…
I’m working where the thread is. Here is a crude drawing of how it is to be quilted.
The backing is a piece that I have had for awhile ,it is from Moda fabric .
Happy quilting folks until next time!

Thank you! That top is a beauty for sure. That poor frame needs some repairs,as itβs been used ..very used! I didnβt get to do any happy stitching ,hubby and I spent the weekend with his mama as she is finding hard to adjust to living alone.

Hi Deb ~ loving this and especially your backing fabic, I think it is perfect. This is an amazing quilt with that perfect log cabin pioneer day feel. It is fathers day and I love that you remembered your special dad’s before you started your post π Sharon

Canβt you just see a lady in a rocker with the top on her lap working by the light of a lamp, fabric scraps spilling out of a basket close by.

Beautiful quilting. I have that same fabric you have for your backing. I know because I reorganized my stash this week!

I really like your quilting plan. It is different and yet symmetrically balanced, which I always like. The backing is beautiful, too, so it will be wonderful no matter which way is up.

Thank you! I really like the backing too,and the quilting pattern just might make it so it could be reversed.

The quilting plan looks great–but you’ll be quilting through lot of seams and I always find that such a challenge! I could look at these old fabrics all day!

I debated about going across seams , but it might…. add some stability to those old seams. So far itβs not been to bad, might break a few needles, though.π
