July 7…. Hand quilt along update….

“Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern–it will come out a rose by and by. Life is like that…one stitch at a time, taken patiently.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

I didn’t get very far at all on the old log cabin, was having too much fun with grandchildren ,and with their parents as well! The last two weeks went by way tooooo…fast!

Children and summertime warm this Mom mom’s heart!

I must say my recliner feels good tonight though, my but little people have lots of energy!๐Ÿ˜

I only got a little over half a block done.

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group, just send me an email!

    1. I was impressed once again just how much impact a older person can have on a young childโ€™s mind when one takes time with them, one question(stitch) at a time ,can help make a beautiful young person.

  1. I never heard that quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes ‘one stitch at a time’ but I love it “wink wink” What a priceless picture, I love that it’s in black and white and I love that you have the grands with you to enjoy! The quilt is looking good and I know you’ll get her done ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. That quote struck me,as I have had a five year old who was asking questions many times,(which I didnโ€™t mind )so many stitches were taking in learning life lessons. I thank God often for my family ,they are truly a treasure!

  2. I love that quote, and the picture of your grands studying those ducks! The quilt is waiting patiently and like you said, just a few stitches makes for wonderful relaxation and progress!
