Dorian was big on the news around here last weekend as we wondered how it was going to made land fall but here in the little town of Midville there was only storm clouds that were unique, wind was pleasant to work in a warm day, with only a few rain drops. Made a lovely mowing day.
So where am I on the log cabin quilt? Same place..🙈 I only quilted a little row not even big enough to photo.
So what have I been doing… relief quilts. There’s a real need for them ,so I step up to the plate…I was able to get three almost finished ,only binding left to do,with four more tops ready to knot. Here’s the three ready for binding. The scrappy log cabin ..the blocks I had on hand just needed to be sewn together.
Until next time…happy sewing.😊

I wondered if you’d feel any effects of the storm–glad you didn’t get hit! Who are the relief quilts for? I imagine there are many places in the world where people would be glad to have them, and you’re very generous to provide!

Thank you,Kerry! Glad too we didn’t get hit. The relief quilts are for Christian Aid Ministry, they are in need of many quilts as they go all over the world.

Thankfully you were spared. That’s some beautiful green lush lawn! The three quilts are lovely and are going to make the recipients feel very loved and not forgotten!

Glad all is well at your house! That is a lot of lawn, but it does look happy this year. The relief quilts will be well received, I know, and be a treasure to someone!

It is a lot of yard.. right now it’s not so happy as we have had 95* plus days and no rain. It always amazes me how quickly it dries things out at those temperatures.

Thank you! I feel blessed that I’m the one making the quilts instead of receiving one.

You have a big and beautiful lawn. How long time it takes to mow it? Quilts are beautiful. Have a good day!

Thank you! It takes me 5 hours to cut the lawn,I don’t very often do it all at one time, usually I do half of it one day then the other half the next day.
