Just a quick peek into my quilt project,I won’t keep you long.. well, to be honest… I’m camping and short on time. There’s so much more exciting things then social media to do today. I’ll catch up tomorrow with you quilting folks .
My new project…..

Some more photos of the makings and I did start at the corner.
Once again there will be no time frame as to when it will be finished.

Her age… a good 120 years. She is definitely titled to a few wrinkled!😃

How do I do it? Search eBay until I found something that catches my eye ,then I watch it to see how well it sells… like the this one ,I think I watched it for about three weeks with no body interested…probably because of the gathered center, and some blocks that are off. We did have fun,and the time just sped by. We even had fresh caught fish over the fish.

How special to work on a quilt that old. It would make my mind wander to think about the person or people that worked on it.

I do wish fabric could talk… that way it could tell me stories while I quilt, instead of me asking questions that are answered with silence.😏

Oh Deb what a beauty this old lady is…wrinkles and all. Hooray for not “tidying up” the idiosyncrasies of hand-sewn work…Glad you are letting us watch you work. xxoo B

She is lovely that’s for sure. Those wrinkles are quilting up nicely ,giving it a wonderful soft, snuggly look.

Is everyone in your family doing OK in these crazy times, Deb?

We are all fine,so grateful for that. I do miss the children that can’t come home right now though. I’m not going to complain as they are all healthy. Hubby still had plenty of work beings he is a essential worker. The emergency calls for doors that need help so that buildings can be secure are always there.

This quilt is so beautiful! It’s age evokes thoughts of the life of each fabric. I personally like a wrinkled quilt. The wrinkles are soft and add texture. You are smart to leave them. I especially like how you give them validity with the age of the quilt. I am looking forward to seeing how you Quilt it:). Have fun camping!!

It is that! Wrinkles do add character, and with age the wrinkles grow more special. My grandma had wrinkles around her eyes , I always thought they were so lovely as they made her eyes twinkle. We did have fun,and the time went by so fast!
