July 26… Hand Quilt along Update

I know, I know .. I’m a week late… I’m also have an emptier pantry shelf.

We had company from Thursday of last week to Monday of this week ,then we had company all day yesterday. Yesterday’s company was easy as it was only two ,my niece and her husband. The weekend company had me feeding up to twenty people for quite a few meals. It was a fun time though visiting with family and friends.

So did I quilt…. very little! I was hoping I could get the top that I worked on the hardest last time almost finished, sad to say that didn’t happen. I did manage three fans, just like the ones in the marked back.

Here’s a peek at a how the children.. big and small enjoyed Bobo and Skittles.

    1. Honestly, it was great getting ready for them all,and there were lots of left overs for a few nights dinners which was nice to have while I did piles of laundry. Leona and I both are totally back to normal. I do enjoy kicking my feet up in the afternoon for a bit though.

  1. I’m glad you felt rested enough to even think of entertaining. I imagine it must have been wonderful to be having visitors after being sick and cut off from the world. And hey, three is better than zero; is it not?

  2. So nice to have you check in. I was a little worried. Bobo and Skittles sure had a great time too. Happy you had some welcomed company to break up the summer. There’s plenty of catch up time for your wonderful quilt 🙂

  3. Ha, ha, you’re right on time for my schedule! LOL I LOVE the traditional, almost antique look of your quilt. Beautiful quilt, and quilting choice.

    1. Oh ,thank you ,thank you so much . 🥰 the fabric I used in the top is antique… from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s so I wanted it very traditional,so it makes me happy that you see it that way.
