Just curious… what brand of quilting needles are your favorite? I’ve tried several brands with John James needles my first go to.
The update….
The yellow is where I was… the red what I did in the last three weeks.
Susannasmom’s blog posted an article on penguins watching TV during lockdown, when I mention our little birds enjoy a movie with Leona ,She requested a photo.
See y’all next year!

How cute with her birds. Do you keep their wings clipped?

Yes, I clip a few flight feathers just enough so that they can’t fly up on my curtains and wall hangings. I tried it for awhile full flighted but they chewed on the curtains and things on the wall instead of playing with the toys that I got them. Now they play ,and they are more tame than before.

It’s interesting how each hand quilter has their own preference for their quilting needles. I personally don’t like John James, I’m a DMC girl. I LOVE your log cabin quilt, it looks so cozyily (if that’s not a word it should be) scrappy. Happy stitching!

Cozyily is a nice way to describe the log cabin! It is interesting how quilters have different taste in needles…. it would be boring if we were all the same. Thanks for sharing your taste.😊

How cute to see the bird sitting there watching the movie! Your log cabin is so striking! Your hand quilting is progressing very well. I use Thimble Lady needles, have a large LARGE selection of John James for quilting also. I use the Thimble Lady needles for applique also. I also love Scarlet Today needles and embroidery patterns. OMgoodness – how cute and precious is Bobo watching the movie on Leona’s leg with her. good progress and gorgeous log cabin Deb. My needles are all unmarked and loose and stuck in pincushions so I have no idea who made them or the brand I like. Merry Christmas!

Your pincushion discretion reminds me of moms old pincushion. As long as those needles work… which by the many lovely projects I’ve seen… that is all that matters. Merry Christmas 🎄

That is such a cute photo of Leona and BoBo! Our parakeet, Sheriff, loved to hang out with the girls during school. He would dance around Girl No. 1’s pencil, looking at himself in the little silver part by the eraser, and dance saying, “Pretty, pretty, budgie boy.” 😂 your quilts are looking super, Deb, progress is progress, and you are coming nearer to a turn!

That’s a lot of quilting! I also loved the baby blanket you crocheted for Skylie – very unusual name, but how clever is mom’s baby holding jacket? I always love a good log cabin, and yours is one!
