Nov.15 …Hand quilt along update…

Yep, late again. 😀 at times though it’s better to be late .

I’m just back this afternoon from Md . I was there helping Mom,who has bacterial pneumonia. Mom is starting to feel better ,but she still has a little ways to go until she’ll be back to her normal self.

So here’s the update… where I was last update…

Center done with a few of the spikes and in between designs.

And here’s where I am now….

With cooler weather ,it is fun the curl up under this quilt to work on it!
Love how the sky and trees add a lovely touch to the old barn.

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

  1. wow – quite a bit of progress! Looking wonderful. Glad you were able to get away and spend some time helping your Mom. Continued healing for her. Did you take your quilting with you to work on? Love the photo with that pinkish sky, looks like it’s reflecting of the roof.

    1. Thank you! I did take the quilt with me but I didn’t get as much time to work on it as I thought I might… cooking, helping Mom with all her needs and enjoying other family members as they stopped by kept me delightfully busy.

  2. Looks great Deb! I never did get a post up, Girl #2 arrived on Monday and we have spent every possible minute visiting…we both had to teach this week, and our schedules are total opposites, so everything else has come to s screeching halt!

      1. If I get off I-81 and take US 11E to Johnson City, I pass right through Chuckey, but I didn’t know about Chimney Top Mountain. I knew about Davy Crockett’s Birthplace State Park, though! Part of my family (ancestors) is from Rogersville, TN, about the same distance on the other side of 81. =)
