I switched projects for a bit here. My whole cloth is put on hold until I get the quilt done for Auntie. I told hubby that I feel I’m racing auntie’s time clock, for she is 84. I would love to have it done for her before she passes on.
Here is where I left off on my whole cloth quilt.

I was able to do all the appliqué for 20 blocks.

I have a good half of it marked. I’m doing mostly grid work with little flowers between the star points .Here’s a photo of the grid work.

Regular grid work on the borders … diamond in the strips between blocks. Then do each star point a quarter inch in from the seam, and outside edge.
A view of the sunset last week from the camper window.

And a photo of my new hybrid of sunflowers.😁

That’s it for me this round.

First ~ that sunset is stunning. I don’t think I have ever seen s sunset in such a deep purple color. Sweet garage part flowers, the perfect gift! Ingenious idea for hanging Aunties quilt in your tiny home. I love the pattern and colors for this quilt ~ Yes get her done so she can enjoy it!

That sunset was gorgeous! It was a blistering hot day of 106* then we had a shower which cooled things down to 86* wonder it that had anything to do with the colors. I’m going to try to finish it this year….🤞😄

Thank you! I hope too,I can! I wonder if grandma gathered her scraps ,swapping them with others when she need a different color… the maroon tips are from a dress of hers,Auntie wrote that down for me.

Auntie’s quilt is going to be a beauty, and with your “simplified” life, you may be quilting at light speed!

I hoping that I can quilt with light speed.😊 My life is definitely simplified… took me twenty minutes to mow lawn ,even wash the car.. still was finished with outside work before Leona awoke from her nap.

Deb, are you in Texas? I think I have missed something. Love the whole cloth quilting and your Auntie’s quilt is fine! Thank you for the compliment. I miss out RV and traveling. I now know how I achieved so many hand applique quilts – in the RV! Hugs.

Well, now that I realize I had my head in a bucket, I remember! You are moving and staying in the RV. DUH DUH DUH!!! I do love the “garage door flowers”. Very pretty to look at along with that beautiful sunset. Are you enjoying retirement? Hugs and don’t laugh I blame my cabin fever on the Russia War! LOL. Hugs

😁Thank you! Yes, I love having hubby home more with business not controlling our lives. Will take a little getting use to though. Gas prices are blamed on the war ..so why not your cabin fever!😉stay cool!❤️
