Oh dear.. once again I’m late.🫣 I’m having a time trying to keep up with life, it seems everything is happening the last two weeks of September.
We just got back from PA , grilling brisket for a friend’s wedding of 250 folks, now this weekend ,hubby has a niece getting married on Friday and I have a nephew on Saturday both being in MD ,which is nice for we can take in both weddings as they will only be about 20 miles apart.it just means another 11 hr trip.
I did get some quilting done not as much as I would have liked but temps went back up to 100* again for a few days,guess it is giving us a last fling of summer. Quilting under a quilt in that kind of weather is sweaty business.😀
However ,I have only have eight more blocks to do along with the borders.
I’m over the half way point,of that I’m so tickled about!👏🙂
Now off to try and catch up with the others updates.

You are busy. I’m impressed with making brisket for 250 people. It is too hot to do many things right now.

It was hot ,today the temps have come down to a lovely 80* . Hubby helps with he grilling ,it really is fun to work together,then see happy people enjoying their food.

The deadlines are there for encouragement, I think. I imagine it’s OK with your friends if you get there a bit late.

It probably just makes them shake their heads ,knowing there’s a good chance it will happen again.😁 it does keep me more on track with getting my quilting in.

The brisket was a hit,( I can brag for hubby did the grilling ,I just do the clean up work😄) I am anxious to get this quilt done for I’m excited for Auntie to see her quilt.

Those are some hefty road trips, but at least the trip to Maryland will have 2 for the price of 1! I know you’ll be back quilting once the weather changes.

I wished I didn’t get car sick for I could do hand work along the way,but for some reason I was bless with motion sickness.😀 if the weather man is correct , it’s looking like quilting a big quilt is going to feel good again.

You are the infamous traveling Lady! Good for you! I am ready for a trip! Your quilt is looking great! I am hoping to start working on more hand work and some hand quilting again. But the Blue Quilt keeps me busy! Hugs
