Today brings back memories of my family gather around my dad’s death bed,it has been 16 years. It is hard to believe that it has been that long ago.
I got more done than the last time. 😀 I was able to quilt 4 more blocks and sashing, only four more blocks and half the border than it will be binding time!

I would like to share my orchid in bloom ,it’s the first time it bloomed. It is a cattleya orchid

I off to visit with some friends who come from Montana,I’ll check up with all the lovely update posts tomorrow.

Omgoodness that orchard is gorgeous! Warm squishy hugs and thoughts to you on the anniversary of your fathers passing. I lost a brother back in the mid 90’s (this month) and it still feels like yesterday too. And your quilt – well it’s one of my favorites!

Little by little the quilt is closer to the finish mark. I love the challenge of trying to grow orchids, even more the challenge of getting them to bloom.

Such beautiful work you do!
16 years? Sending hugs to you across the miles. In six days it will be two years since my mom passed. It doesn’t seem possible. I imagine you feel the same, even with the 16 years that have gone since.

Hugs to you, Deb! May you be blessed with the good memories of your Dad and remember the reasons for smiling!
Hubby and I just returned from a trip to Montana. His sister and her Hubby live in a beautiful area and we had a wonderful visit.
Your orchid is gorgeous! I have never had much luck with orchids, so I admire those who do!
You are getting close to the finish line with your lovely quilt! 🙂

Oh thank you for the hug! I do have wonderful memories of Dad,one of them riding on dads back as a youngin in those ocean waves…. So much fun!
I’ve never been to Montana, would love too though sometime.
I’m slowly learning the ropes to growing orchids, just about lost one recently,it’s still struggling some but I’m more hopeful now for it sending out new leaves. I like the challenge of growing them.
Yep almost there to the finish line.👏

My orchid, I know it’s another of Gods wonders. I love the traditional quilting ,for old quilt patterns especially. Thank you for that hug, while I would not wish him back, however he is missed.
