Oh yes late again🫣 Hubby and I were out of town this weekend , we went to Florida to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We put modern tech to the side and just enjoyed our time together.
I really wanted to post and set a date for it to post on but ran out of time… anyway so much for excuses.😄
I was able to wash the backing getting the stains out. Very happy about that.
It won’t take long to finish this one.

As you see the squares are not the same but neither are the blocks so I just quilt along following the bloopers and all.

Great great grandma , I love you even if I don’t know you! ❤️
Well I would say check out the others handy work but I’m afraid you probably already have… so happy sewing until the next update.

Deb – I found you and am following 🙂 35 years is a milestone to celebrate and I am so happy you were able to get away to celebrate. You’re doing a beautiful job on this 🙂

Thank you! We did enjoy our little get away,it was nice to have a break from every day living. Our middle daughter took care of Leona for me,so I felt rather free.🙂

Did you use something special to get the stains out?

I used sunshine and peroxide along with warm water. Works great.

It is really coming along. I’m sure great, great grandma will be thought of every time the quilt is used. Do you label your quilts with your name and the original quilter?

I label the ones I keep, but the one like I did for an aunt ,I let her decide if she chooses to label it or not. Knowing her she’ll probably have the whole history written on a label.

Thank you! At first it was hard to just let imperfect be imperfect, but I’m learning that quilting it’s always about perfection, this quilt will have a unique character.
