A Tadpole hollow update

We are here in the hills for a bit again doing some more clean up and ripping up an old floors.

The floor joists have rotten out because of a water leak that was left go.

We hauled out two trailer loads of trash and junk . This was the trailer we used , and we still have a lot more to haul away.

It’s a dump trailer

We found out this old house was built in 1910 . It definitely is in need of some repairs.

There was a chimney fire at one time , that was patch up. Hubby wants to redo it by repairing the wall and putting up a new chimney.

Some of the trash we hauled away.
A lonely old house, but not for much longer.

I also took walks seeing signs of spring all around.

Cowslips
Bloodroot
Ink cap mushrooms
Wild orange daylilies
Wash day 😀

And we have some rain that made the creeks around us sing …it was great!!!

Have a great week !

  1. I love that spring has arrived and things are looking brighter and smile back at us. Love the sound of the stream rushing past. I have a stream (salmon run) in our back yard as we back up to a greenbelt. Isn’t it heavenly? I am calling your place ‘your happy place’ and I am excited to see this house reborn 🙂 Enjoy!

    1. I don’t know about a TV show.. I’m not a talker.🙂 I’m bless to have a hubby who was in the carpentry business for quite a few years. They used to build assisted living apartments for seniors.

    1. I’m excited about making this old house into a lovely place again. I too love the sound of that creek. I sat with a cup of coffee several times for a break beside it , soaking in the sound!
