Happy Mother’s Day!🌹

Sorry folks.. still no hand work done here yet!

The elbow is doing much better, no hot spots and swelling is almost gone! I still have to work on therapy for awhile yet though.

I hoping that by the next update , I will have a little bit done.

Since you took the time to visit , I will show you an orchid that I took under my care for it wasn’t happy for the person it was given too. I love a plant challenge , the only problem is now I have fallen in love with orchid care.

April 23.. Hand quilt along update…

Sorry , folks nothing done here!! My tendinitis is taking longer to heal then I expected!😕

I thought it was doing much better until I picked up a cup of coffee , pain shot down the arm , making me lose grip on the cup , splashing coffee everywhere. I guess I just need to be a little more patient!

Old girl is still waiting as well, I think she has more patience than I.😁

March 12..Hand quilt along update ……

I didn’t get much done this around ,too busy with the old house and then being here in VA. to enjoy the school program that two of the grandchildren were in.

I also had problems with my elbow, so I put crocheting and quilting down for a bit. It is starting to feel much better.

I tried bread done on a grill! It is very tasty.

A Tadpole hollow update

We are here in the hills for a bit again doing some more clean up and ripping up an old floors.

The floor joists have rotten out because of a water leak that was left go.

We hauled out two trailer loads of trash and junk . This was the trailer we used , and we still have a lot more to haul away.

We found out this old house was built in 1910 . It definitely is in need of some repairs.

There was a chimney fire at one time , that was patch up. Hubby wants to redo it by repairing the wall and putting up a new chimney.

A lonely old house, but not for much longer.

I also took walks seeing signs of spring all around.

And we have some rain that made the creeks around us sing …it was great!!!

February 21… hand quilt along update…

Oh yes late again🫣 Hubby and I were out of town this weekend , we went to Florida to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We put modern tech to the side and just enjoyed our time together.

I really wanted to post and set a date for it to post on but ran out of time… anyway so much for excuses.😄

I was able to wash the backing getting the stains out. Very happy about that.

It won’t take long to finish this one.

The quilting done doesn’t show much but a lot of the center blocks are done.

As you see the squares are not the same but neither are the blocks so I just quilt along following the bloopers and all.

A little hard quilting through this so I didn’t.

Great great grandma , I love you even if I don’t know you! ❤️

Well I would say check out the others handy work but I’m afraid you probably already have… so happy sewing until the next update.

Jan. 29, Hand quilt along update…

It’s time again to show our quilty treasures.🙂

So glad Kathy came up with this hand quilting blog updates,I so enjoy seeing each ones tastes in color and pattern choices. Keep it up blogging friends.😊

I had to go into storage to find my next project,I went though some tubs looking for a small quilt to work on,as this camper really isn’t meant to be doing queen size quilts.

I came across this little treasure,blocks that were hand sewn by hubby’s great grand mother.

I was going to straighten some of the wonky blocks but hubby said he wanted it just as it was….So it is just as it is.😀

I also found the old flour sack fabric that I had hoarded away that was from my grandma. It has some staining on it,I’m hoping that I can get it out with a little peroxide and sunshine. I want to keep the blue lines in it so I’ll have to be careful.

A simple x in each block will be quilted in this oldie,as I think it will match the quilts era.

Second project that I’m working on,love these little girls.🥰 this painting is from a photo that my daughter took.

After a little snooze here I’m look in to see what’s happening in your quilting world.🙂

Jan. 8 .. Hand quilt along update….

Welcome back ,Connie!!!🙂

These last three weeks have been … well I can’t say exactly busy .. at least in the quilt department.🫣

Leona caught some germs from our travels to see family , so I’ve been doctoring her .

Being on call for 24 hrs and sleepless nights call for a very sluggish me.

So that meant no going to the storage room to find my next project for to post.

I did the easiest thing while sitting beside Leona during her worst days . Crocheting, it is very relaxing to sit there with hook and yarn…. Even if I had to undo six rows due to dozing .

Here’s what I managed to finish…

The cream one I did for myself. It’s wool and wonderfully soft. Leona claimed it as soon as I had finished it. That was her comfort while being sick.

The little sea foam green one is for charity and a baby size.

Hoping to get a project going before next update!

Dec.18..Hand quilt along update..

I have a finish! 👏👏 I’m so glad I finished this before the Holidays. It will soon be on its way to Auntie.

Not sure what I’ll pick up next to work on ,probably something small as the camper does better with small instead of a queen size quilt.😀

Nov. 27… Hand quilt along update….

We are still here in Kentucky, enjoying the family . it has been a great Thanksgiving weekend.

I forgot to take a photo of the quilt of what I have accomplished but I did find I had a photo of the top laid out , so I just show you what needs yet to be done. I’m writing this on my phone instead of my iPad.

The purple marks what I need to finish than I’ll be ready for the binding.👏👏

Nov.6..Hand quilt along update….

Today brings back memories of my family gather around my dad’s death bed,it has been 16 years. It is hard to believe that it has been that long ago.

I got more done than the last time. 😀 I was able to quilt 4 more blocks and sashing,only four more blocks and half the border than it will be binding time!

I would like to share my orchid in bloom ,it’s the first time it bloomed. It is a cattleya orchid

I off to visit with some friends who come from Montana,I’ll check up with all the lovely update posts tomorrow.
