I’m a day late on the update, but I’m not feeling to guilty.🤓 I had company…oh it was wonderful! My brother and his wife, nephew and his wife stopped in to visit. I haven’t seen my brother for a year. It was so good to give them all a hug again!! We have been in contact with each other throughout this virus mess but nothing is like sitting down in a chair and visiting in my living room.
Now for the update…
It has been chilly here these last few weeks ,leaving my sewing room tooooo cold to work in. That room is the coldest in winter and the coolest in summer which is nice for summer time.
So I pulled out this top to work on some more in the warm … family room where the wood stove is.😃

You are making good progress on the quilt. Glad you had your family with you! There is nothing like being around friends and family, or just strangers in saying good morning. Isolation is not good for the human race. Stay warm – we have the 70 and 97% humidity – I am trying to decide if I want to get in the Sauna for my walk – probably will! Hugs

Thank you! I can’t believe how excited I got when my brother walked in the door…. We are close in age and I hadn’t realized just how much I missed him and the family. Yep it’s muggy here too

I am limited to “Covid hugs” still — “don’t talk, don’t breathe, wear masks, look in opposite directions.” I know your family already has immunity, but how about your brother’s family? (Wishing Massachusetts would hurry up with that vaccine!)

The family has all had it ,including my brother and his family…. so we are enjoying the family hugs again. If you feel like you’ve come in contact with it… drink echinacea tea with peppermint..drink,drink and drink….. dehydration is often the first problem with COVID. Keep them kidneys working.😀

I hope you can soon have those hugs… I realize more than ever the importance of a hug. Those little blue squares came from just a few scrapes among all the cream and brown with just a few greens. I just about didn’t use them but decided they came from that little box of scraps so into the quilt they went. Glad I added them

How simply wonderful you were able to see your brother and give him a hug. One of my daughters just moved back in and it was torture waiting for her quarantine to be over. That first hug was amazing. Love your quilt!!

The only thing I like better than a browns and lights quilt is blues and lights. This looks wonderful, and your quilting is moving along pretty fast.
