July 15 ….Hand Quilt Along

” a bed without a quilt is like a sky without the stars”

As many of you know I love to listen to audio books when I’m quilting ,I’m not sure which I look forward to the most , quilting or the book! However ,I learned one thing ….never listen to a sad story when quilting if your a teary person like me.. it makes it very hard to see what your quilting. So what was I listening too…

A story about a beautiful, courageous woman and the people who saved children lives during WW11.

Now the update…. here’s where I was last update…

I finished the part working left from the green scissors to the batting, rolled the quilt and worked across to the right end where the needle is closest to the scissors.

And if that doesn’t make any sense then just enjoy the details!😀

Have a great week!

  1. Yes, tears are a problem when doing anything that requires seeing straight! So are you getting close to half way, or are you past that already. You have covered a lot of quilt this time!

  2. You just keep on keeping on, Deb–such great, steady progress. And I do love the pictures with the details–your tiny perfect stitches and the way you keep all those needles going at the same time. I’m still amazed by learning, awhile ago, that you can quilt with either hand!

    1. Thank you, your a sweet encourager!🙂 I hate unthreading a needle when I can’t reach far enough to keep going ,it also helps mark where I left off, especially the stitch in the ditch places. Quilting with both hands is so natural that I can’t imagine doing it with only one hand.

    1. LouAnne,my daughter, will only listen to a story driving,so I guess listening while ironing isn’t so weird! If it gets ironing done then that’s the way to go in my thinking.😀 Thank you!
