It’s hard to believe that the holidays are rolling around again. Our oldest son is coming home for a week ,it will be so fun catching up . He lives up north a good 13 hrs away ..so when he gets time off work to come home it’s always a special time. The youngest son will also be here.👏👏
I haven’t quilted as much again these last three week. I have been picking up pecans. They are bountiful this year.

Update… here’s where I was last round doing a row then rolling…

You must have a lot of pecan trees. Your quilt is looking good.

Hi Deb~ It is hard to believe the holidays are here already. Do I see pecan pie in your near future? Yum! We use to have 4 mature walnut trees. I would gather shopping bags full of nuts and give as holiday gifts to friends. Enjoy your boys being home. And of course I love your progress on your wonderful ‘vintage’ quilt

Yes! Pecan pie, kiffles, nuts on sweet potatoes, and just to sit out to nibble on. The grandchildren enjoy a nut bowl,I feel better about them eating nut and fruit than so many cookies.

Oh, pecans! Wonderful! What do you plan to do with them? Do you make pecan pie at Thanksgving?

I probably will make the pecan pies for Christmas, and do the kiffles for Thanksgiving this year. Pecans are good in so many dishes… sprinkled on sweet potatoes, on sweet rolls, or just to put in a pretty dish with orange rings to snack on.

After you make the kiffles, would you post some pictures? New to me.

I am enjoying my boys ! Leona is slowly improving but it’s been a rough month for her. The Lord has been good through for we haven’t had to go to the hospital. I’ll do a post next week on the kiffles… to busy cooking and enjoying family right now.😄
